Build with gcc 4.7, QCoreApplication::applicationPid() instead of getpid()

The original reason for this patch was to solve a build error when compiling
with gcc 4.7, which required the addition of #include <unistd.h> because of
getpid (gcc 4.7 is pickier regarding header inclusions).
Later I realised that as we are using QtCore here, QCoreApplication::applicationPid
seems more appropriate (in terms of cross platform).
