ETE : a Python Environment for Tree Exploration

ETE is a python programming toolkit that assists in the automated manipulation, analysis and visualization of any type of hierarchical trees. This includes phylogenetic, clustering profiles trees. Using ETE, trees are loaded as python objects, and nodes can be interactively visualized, annotated or edited. Note that this is a web site for developers, you may be looking for the official ETE’s web site at http://ete.cgenomics.org
